Description
Historically, much of this province was covered in grasslands. Now less than two percent remains. Many rare and endangered plant and animal species are in the remaining two percent. Ranching has been impacted by the encroachment of forests onto these historic grasslands as well. This program will discuss the impacts as well as how to restore and maintain grassland ecosystems throughout B.C. Note: this program was rebroadcast as Program 2 in 2001 and Program 2 in 2002.
