Living with Loss
Description
Rising populations make increased environmental impact almost inevitable. Sometimes great economic surges upset the traditional social and economic patterns - especially if the surges are only temporary, or not well planned. The Town of Revelstoke suffered great upheaval due to a recent dam construction boom in the seventies. It has taken a long time but the town is now moving positively in the direction of overall and long-term sustainability.
