Hand-coloured copper-plate engraving. Depicts the Arctic Circle and northern territories of Siberia, Canada and Greenland. French engraving done by M. de Vaugondy published in Diderot's Encyclopedie. Original map in English, published in 1768 by Thomas Jeffreys in The Great Probability of a Northwest Passage written by Drage in London (Wagner, 614).
